Responsibilities
Assistant Manager Responsibilities
- Assigned to back-of-house or front-of-house duties, you will supervise shift (operations), and are tasked with excellent execution of the position to which they are assigned
- Ensure that all food safety procedures and sanitation practices are being upheld
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of entire store property
- Collaborate with other managerial staff on personnel decisions
- Lead, train, and develop employees
- Open and/or close the restaurant, run shifts, and operational checklists
- Equipment upkeep and maintenance
- Assist with inventory counting, ordering, and cash handling
Work Environment
- Assistant Managers are required to work in a kitchen environment which includes working with and around ovens, stoves, walk-in coolers/freezers, milkshake machines, frying equipment, and knives
- You will be exposed to heat, steam, fire, noise, and potentially slippery surfaces, as well as outside in the elements when doing property walks
Expected Work Hours
- The restaurant’s working schedule is Monday to Sunday
- This position can be either part-time or full-time
- Full-time employees are anyone who works more than 30 hours per week on average for one year; however, AMs are expected, though not guaranteed, to work between 40 and 45 hours per week on average
Skills & Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years in the restaurant industry, one year of management in the restaurant or an equivalent industry
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Education & Experience
- University degree or equivalent
- Two years of restaurant experience in a fast, casual restaurant
Work Authorization
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
